Beauty and the Beast is from the director Jean Cocteau made in 1946. This movie is almost exactly like the disney one with a few differences. This version I felt was much darker then the disney one. The film also didn't have any music in it, which was good because it would of dragged out the movie. There were some articles that I read which refered to this movie as being a feminist one, in which I would have to disagree. This film doesn't deal with female empowerment, it is the total oppoisite. Also some new specials effects were added in this film.
